So, we have a huge problem ahead of us. Media calls it “algorithms” and blames programmers for their mistakes. But I think the better name for this problem will be “machines learning huge mistakes of human past”.

In the past, some very dumb humans in charge decided that some people should have less rights then other people. Women, people of color et cetera - they were all erased. They weren’t given loans (or any money at all), they were completely dependent on other people to live. Today some people in charge become smarter and realize these mistakes, but the problem is still there in the algorithms that repeat them.

And I think that programmers may be not the right people to blame. Most “algorithms”, as media likes to call them, are actually based on machine learning. This means that an algorithm processes past data and tries to make decisions based on that data. And it seems like we don’t have a good track record of human rights, especially if we peek into the past century.

Maybe it’s not machines that are to blame, but humans who give example to these machines - not by word, but by their actions at the ruler seats?

Please correct me if I’m wrong.
