I’m thinking about using #@-syntax for tag-replies, since # signifies (usually) hashtag and @ is traditionally a username prefix (and I’m able to mention users in my blogroll that way).

Actually, @-syntax should work with domains too, it’s just that I can’t make the hcardify function work right now!
