All of the VPNs and censorship circumvention and the rotting infrastructure slow my internet speed down to the point of unusability. Websites take seconds to load, apps can spin and throb for a while before showing something, my messenger may just randomly decide to stall picture downloads…

I feel like I can't believe we had proper internet speeds back when I was young. Things… just worked. Without me having to fiddle with tunnels, DNS settings, routing, circumvention, obfuscation and such.

I am definitely getting tired. But what can I even do?
